Brown Bag Event:
Integrating Low Impact Development Techniques to meet new
2005 Stormwater Goals
Surface water management regulations are coming to the forefront
in 2006. Randolph R. Sleight PE,PLS, F. ASCE,
Chief Engineering Officer of Snohomish County Planning and Development
Services and
John Cowling
from the City of Marysville developed presentations for this event.
Randy discussed balancing urban growth in a sustainable fashion
that minimizes impacts to stormwater infrastructure while
integrating Low Impact Development Techniques described in the 2005
PSAT Manual and how this dovetails with the 2005 DOE Stormwater
Management Manual.
The City of Marysville was a recipient
of the Puget Sound Action Team LID code review grant. John discussed
how the City of Marysville has been
pro-active in encouraging innovative stormwater management.
